BPSC issues fresh exam calendar, teachers’ test to start on Aug 19

Patna: Refusing to budge from its stand despite widespread protests, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the schedule for conducting the competitive examination for recruiting the largest number of teachers for the government schools across the state.

As per the examination calendar released by the BPSC, the competitive exams to recruit 1.70 lakh teachers for primary, secondary and higher secondary schools will be conducted on August 19, 20, 26 and 27th. However, dates of the results for written examination, interview and final result have not be announced yet.

Teachers appointed by the urban local bodies and panchayati raj institutions have been conducting protests and demonstrations against the recently approved rules for appointment of teachers through the BPSC and filed petition against the same in the Patna high court.

A total of 43 exams have been notified in this exam calendar. Apart from appointment of 170461 teachers, the commission would conduct the recruitment test and announce results of 40506 head master in this calendar. However, no date has been announced regarding its date in the exam calendar.

The preliminary test of the 69th combined competitive examination and main examination would be on 30 September and 17 November respectively. The interview for the combined competitive examination is slated to be held between December 9 and 16. In the 32nd Judicial services examination, the PT exam is on June 4, the main exam on August 4 and the probable date of the interview is October 8.

Some other major examinations

The final exam result of lecturer (electronics) assistant professor (Mathematics) and professor (Chemistry) will be released on May 30. The result of lecturers for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Exam will be released on June 12.

The final result of assistant Maulvi Arabic and assistant teacher, English, will be released on July 5.

The final result for assistant curator, research and publication officer and assistant director, museums, will be released on May 31.

The 69th combined competitive examination, in which PT exam will be held on 30th September and main exam will be held on 17th November followed by interview from 9th December to 16th December.

PT for the 32nd judicial services examination has been fixed for June 4 and the main exam is scheduled for August 4. The interview is likely to be conducted on October 8. The result of the BPSC CDPO exam will be released on May 29 and the interview will be held from July 4.

The result of BPSC DPRO mains exam will be released by June 15 and after that the interview will be held by July 11.
