Selection Process

The 72nd Combined Competitive Exam follows the standard three-stage selection process: Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, and Personality Test (Interview). The Preliminary stage is objective in nature and serves as a screening test, while the Mains are descriptive and carry significant weight in the final merit list. Only those who clear all stages successfully will be appointed.

Bihar’s competitive examinations are known for their competitiveness and rigorous standards, attracting lakhs of applicants every year. The 72nd edition is expected to see massive participation, given the growing number of educated youth seeking stable government jobs amid limited private sector opportunities in the region.
