At a weekly show, “Shiksha Ki Baat: Har Shanivaar”, #Bihar‘s additional chief secretary Dr S Siddharth talked his hearts out to young students of the government’s schools on a whole range of issues, affecting the state’s education system. An tech graduate and masters from IIT and MBA from the IIM, Dr Siddharth is also a trained pilot and still enjoy cycling and playing badminton. He spoke how he, like any other school student, used to play glass balls (Kancha), fly kites and played cricket after returning from his class in Delhi. He believed coaching is redundant if teachers worked with dedication. He never attended any coaching class throughout his study. He found self-study as best practice to arm oneself with quality education, and trusted it as the best medium to crack any competitive examination.
