IISc, Bengaluru, listed among to 201-250 varsities in global ranking

Times Higher Education ranking 2024: In the global list, UK's University of Oxford is in the top spot, followed by Stanford University and MIT in second and third places

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has been featured among the 201-250 bracket of ranking of universities across the world by the Times Higher Education (THE), which released the 2024 edition of World University Rankings (WUR) on Thursday.

IISc is the highest among the Indian universities to be ranked by THE, which considered 1,904 universities across 108 countries and regions for 2024 rankings. Four other varsities of the country– Anna University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Mahatma Gandhi University and Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences – are in the 501-600 bracket.
