Airtel ultrafast 5G service goes live in Patna; no sim change needed

Currently operational at Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Railway Station, Dak Bungalow, Maurya Lok, Bailey Road, Boring Road, City Centre Mall, Patliputra Industrial Area and few other select locations

Patna: Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecommunications services provider, on Monday announced the launch of its cutting edge 5G services in Patna. It’s for the first time that mobile data users of the capital city will get the experience of 5G services.

Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the roll out. Customers with 5G enabled devices will enjoy high speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra cost, until the roll out is more widespread. Currently operational at Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Patna Railway Station, Dak Bungalow, Maurya Lok, Bailey Road, Boring Road, City Centre Mall, Patliputra Industrial Area and few other select locations.

Officials of Bharti Airtel said that they will augment its network making its services available across the city in due course of time. They said Airtel 5G Plus service is also available at Patna airport, making it the first airport in the state to enjoy ultrafast 5G service. Customers flying in and out of Patna can enjoy high speed Airtel 5G Plus across the airport terminal. Passengers can enjoy blazing speeds on their mobile phones while they are at the arrival and departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration counters, security areas, baggage claim belts, parking area etc. The new terminal in Bengaluru, Pune, Varanasi and Nagpur are the other airports that have Airtel 5G Plus.

Commenting on the launch, Anupam Arora, chief executive officer (CEO), Bharti Airtel, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha said, “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Patna. Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds upto 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more. I thank the authorities at Patna airport for all their support in making this project live”.

Airtel 5G Plus will bolster the entire portfolio of services that Airtel offers. In addition, it will allow superfast access to High Definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.
