Invest in new industrial parks, Jharkhand govt urges entrepreneurs

Investors being promised to get huge financial incentives as envisaged under recently approved Industrial Parks and Logistics Parks Policy at Ranchi, Adityapur and Deoghar specialised industrial parks

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has invited the entrepreneurs to avail various kinds of incentives under the recently approved state industrial park and logistics parks policy by investing in three major upcoming industrial parks in the state, including Ranchi’s pharmaceutical park, Atidyapur electronic manufacturing cluster (EMC) and Deoghar based plastic park.

Recently, a special secretary, industries department, Pranav Lal sought to woo the investors to invest in the state during his participation at the fifth regional workshop on PM Gatishakti scheme at Varanasi. He said that investors would be doled out major incentives including subsidy up to 25% of the project cost, interest subsidy, total waiver or reimbursement of stamp duty/ registration fee, financial assistance on quality certification, technological assistance and on patient procurement.

“Besides the three designated parks, entrepreneurs also look in to the scope for development of private industrial parks and logistics parks and avail up to 50% subsidy on capital investment and other incentives as per the industrial park and logistics park policy 2022,” said a senior officer of the department.

Ranchi Pharmaceutical Park

Detailing about the under-construction in industrial parks, the official said that pharmaceutical companies can set up their plants at Ranchi’s pharmaceutical parks, located at Barhe area. The park has been developed on 35 acre land and has facilities for water, transportation, water treatment facilities, besides 24×4 power supply and security arrangement. As many as 55 plots are still vacant, on which the firms can bet.

Deoghar Plastic Park

Deoghar Plastic Park is located in Devipur locality is being set up by jointly by the state and the central government. The park is spread over an area of 90 acres and is the first of its kind in the state. It is equipped with a plastic waste collection centre, a plastic waste segregation centre, a plastic waste recycling centre, a plastic waste composting centre, and a plastic waste disposal centre. The park also has a plastic waste management training centre, a plastic waste research and development centre, and a plastic waste exhibition centre. The park aims to reduce plastic waste in the city and promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives. It has still 111 plots to be occupied by the investors.

Adityapur Electronic Manufacturing Cluster

Adityapur Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (AEMC) is a special economic zone (SEZ) located in Jamshedpur. It is spread over an area of 82.49 acres. It is a joint venture between the Government of Jharkhand and the Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA). The cluster is home to many reputed manufacturing firms, including multinationals such as Samsung, LG, and Nokia. There are 49 plots up for grabs in the AEMC.
