Bengaluru: The Banaswadi Military Garrison in Bengaluru, under the aegis of Bison Division and Thiruvananthapuram Brigade, hosted a heartfelt Veterans’ Day celebration to honor the selfless service and sacrifices of its esteemed veterans. The event, attended by over 150 veterans and their families, was a testament to the enduring spirit of gratitude and camaraderie.

The day began with a medical camp that offered essential healthcare services to the veterans and their families at Banaswadi Military Garrison. Additionally, a CSD (Canteen Stores Department) extension counter was set up, providing easy access to essential goods. A grievance cell was also established during the event to address and resolve personal documentation issues faced by veterans and their families, ensuring they received timely assistance.

A relaxed high tea followed, offering veterans an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and share their experiences in a congenial atmosphere.

One of the event’s most notable moments was the felicitation ceremony, where Veer Naris (war widows) and select veterans were honored for their continued service to the nation. These individuals were lauded for their remarkable contributions to society and their active involvement in nation-building initiatives post-retirement.
