Jharkhand’s board declares class 10th results, 90.39% pass exam

As many as 44 students were included in the top ten positions in the 10th result, of which 19 girl students hail from Indira Gandhi Girls High School, Hazaribagh

Ranchi: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Friday released the results of 10th board, which saw about 90.39% students passing the examination. There are four girls in the top 3 and all are from Indira Gandhi Girls’ High School, Hazaribagh.

Jharkhand topper Jyotsna Jyoti has got 99.2% marks while, the 2nd topper Sana Sanjuri secured 98.6% marks. The third topper Karishma-Srishti Soumya netted 98.4% marks. As many as 44 students were among the top 10 rank of the board results. Of these, 19 girl students are from Indira Gandhi Girls High School, Hazaribagh.

2.05 lakh students pass in 1st Div

A total of 3,78, 398 students have passed the examination, of whom 2,05,110 students have passed in the first division. A total of 1,53,733 students have passed in the second division while only 19,555 students passed in the third division.

This time the girls have dominated the results, recording 91% of them passing the examination. About 89.70% boys have passed the examination.

JAC chairman Anil Mahato said the council announced the results a bit early this year in view of the general elections. This time the result has been declared 20 days earlier than the past year’s schedule.

4,21,678 students took the matric exam

The matriculation examination was conducted at 1238 centres across the state between 6th February and 26th February this year. About 4,21,678 students appeared in the examination. The matriculation examination was held in the first shift from 9.45 am to 1.05 pm.

12th results to be declared in next 10 days

JAC officials said that the class 12th result will also be released within 10 days. Till last year, the results were usually released in May, but this year the 10th result has been released before the scheduled time. The intermediate examinations were conducted at 740 examination centres across the state.
