Kanpur: In yet another train accident, 20 coaches of 19168 Sabarmati Express, which runs from Varanasi to Ahmedabad, derailed between Kanpur and Bhimsen stations in Uttar Pradesh early on Saturday morning. The derailment is believed to happen after its engine struck an object on the tracks. However, no casualties or injuries have been reported yet.

According to the Indian Railways, the loco pilot believed that some boulder hit the cattle guard (front portion) of the engine, badly damaging it. The railways cancelled seven trains on that route and diverted three others. Passengers of the ill-fated Sabarmati Express were put on another train to Ahmedabad.
