BPSC prepares suppl result of phase-2 teachers’ recruitment exam

Patna: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is working on preparation of the supplementary result for the second phase of teachers’ recruitment examination and results might be out soon.

BPSC chairman Atul Prasad gave this information through social media platform “X”, formerly known as Twitter. He wrote on social media platform, “Yes, we are working on supplementary results in TRE2.0 against the vacancies arising out of multiple results.”

Till now, more than 92 thousand candidates have been declared successful in the second phase of the teachers’ recruitment. Those selected in the first phase were given away the appointment letters at a much-hyped programme held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Officials of the education department said that appointment letters to qualified aspirants of the 2nd phase will also be given at another similar mega event to be held at Gandhi Maidan on January 13th. Bihar chief minister CM Nitish Kumar is set to preside over the event.

It may be recalled that about 25000 teachers selected in the first phase were given appointment letters on November 2 last year at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Appointment letter distribution program was organized at the district-levels also for other teachers.

Appointment of Special Teachers

Meanwhile, the department has also initiated the process of appointing special teachers on 7279 vacant posts. Of these, there are 5534 primary and 1745 middle school posts. These teachers are to be appointed in primary and middle schools to teach disabled children. A demand will be sent to Bihar Public Service Commission for appointment to these posts.

Exclusive Teachers

The education department has also started the process of redesignating about 4 lakh teachers appointed by urban local bodies (ULB) and the panchayati raj institutions (PRIs) as exclusive teachers, in conformity with the cabinet decision. Although all working teachers have been granted the government’s staff status, they need to pass the eligibility test to get upgraded salary at par with those appointed by the BPSC.

Officials said that the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is likely to organise eligibility test for the existing teachers, appointed by the ULBs and the PRIs, in the last week of January. The department is preparing to complete all the preparations for sending the requisition before results of the eligibility test are declared.
