Airlines release winter schedule for Patna, no. of flights dips to 41

Patna: Check timing of the flights whenever you book the ticket to go out from Patna airport next time. For, the airlines have revised the flight timings in keeping with the winter schedule, which came in effect from October 29. The winter schedule will continue till March 30 next year. However, there could be a possibility of light change departure time of the flights owing to intensity of fog and reduction visibility in the winter season.

New schedule

According to the new winter schedule, the number of flights operating from Patna during the winter has come down to 41 against usual flights 66-72 flights during non-winter seasons. As per the revised schedule, the first flight to Delhi will depart at 08:30 in the morning while the last flight will depart at 09:20 in the night. The first flight will leave for Delhi at 9.50 while the last flight will be at 10.25 pm from December 15.

A total of 29 flights of Indigo and five pairs of SpiceJet have been included in the new schedule. Besides, the Air India will operate three flights and Vistara and Flybig will have two flights each daily from Patna’s Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) airport.

New direct flight to Jaipur

The IndiGo has announced to operate a direct flight (6E 487) from Jaipur on Jaipur-Patna-Guwahati sector from December 1. The flight land at Patna from from Jaipur at 02:55 pm and then leave for Guwahati at 03.30 pm. At the same time, the journey from Jaipur to Patna will take about one and a half hour. The same flight will land at Patna from Guwahati at 7.20pm and take off for Jaipur at 8pm on its return journey.

IndiGo to operate 29 flights under winter schedule

Indigo has released the winter schedule of a total of 29 aircraft for Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata and Guwahati. SpiceJet will have five pairs of aircraft for destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad-Chennai and Bengaluru. Air India will operate one flight for Mumbai and two flights for Delhi. Flybig and Vistara will be operating two pair of flights for Kolkata and Guwahati and Delhi respectively.

No seat in train, flight fares are skyrocketing

Due to lack of berths in trains ahead of Diwali, a large number of people are taking tickets to travel by plane. Taking advantage of this, airline companies have increased ticket prices. From October 29 till November 4, the air fare from Delhi to Patna is costing around ₹5,000-6,000.

On November 8, the air fare on this route has increased to ₹10,000. Apart from this, tickets are being sold for ₹13,000 on November 10 and ₹15,000 on November 11. Similarly, on October 26, the air fare for Ranchi was ₹5,600, whereas on 10th and 11th November it has increased to ₹11,000-13,000. At the same time, airfare for Dubai is ₹11,620 and for Singapore it is ₹11,500.
