Hyderabad: Rites Limited, a premier transport infrastructure consultancy firm, has entered into an agreement with the mining major NMDC Limited to provide the latter comprehensive project management consultancy services.
The memorandum of agreement (MoA) between the government enterprises was signed in Hyderabad. This MoA marks a strategic collaboration aimed at developing, upgrading, and creating rail connectivity for NMDC Ltd’s mines and related facilities across locations.

A senior official of the Rites Ltd said that through this partnership, they will offer end-to-end consultancy services from concept to commissioning, focusing on the reconnaissance survey, feasibility study, detailed project report (DPR), and project management for rail connectivity projects. This includes allied civil works such as roads, bridges, and other infrastructure necessary for efficient transportation and logistics in NMDC’s operational areas.
The partnership underscores Rites Ltd’s expertise in managing complex railway infrastructure projects and NMDC’s commitment to improving operational efficiency through modern rail connections. With its extensive experience in railway engineering and project management, the Rites Ltd will assist NMDC Ltd in executing critical projects to enhance logistical capacities and expedite the transportation of raw materials.

Rites Ltd signs MoU with DMRC
Earlier on October 3, the Rites Ltd had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which is renowned for operating and maintaining Delhi’s extensive metro rail network. Through this MoU, both organizations will combine their strengths to identify, secure, and execute metro projects in India and abroad.
This strategic collaboration will focus on offering services in areas including general consultancy, project management, detailed design, feasibility studies and others. The partnership aims at tapping opportunities in the urban transit system space, delivering world-class solutions for both domestic and international projects.

Also, the alliance syncs with Rites Ltd’s ongoing efforts to expand its global footprint under its ‘RITES Videsh’ initiative.
