AVPL, UPL-SAS join hands to train 50000 agri-entrepreneurs

AVPL will start to train 14000 rural entrepreneurs in Haryana in next two years and will also launch training programmes in MP, Gujarat and Jharkhand in next few months

New Delhi: AITMC Ventures Private Limited (AVPL), a leading training partner with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) across India has joined hands with UPL Sustainable Agriculture Solutions (UPL SAS), a leading sustainable agriculture solution provider, for upskilling of 50,000 rural agriculture entrepreneurs.

According to a press communique, AVPL will train the candidates in 50 state-of-the-art training facilities set up across India. The training programs will be based on the topic of good agriculture practices, drone operations, boom sprayer operations, soil testing, etc. UPL SAS will act as a knowledge partner for assisting AVPL and skill development bodies like NSDC for developing the training modules and conducting training of trainers (ToTs) for making the training programs more relevant and impactful.

The trained candidates will be encouraged to start their own agriculture input stores, crop advisory centers, modern custom hiring centres, etc., which will help the farming community to get quality agriculture input products and farm mechanization services through these ventures and will lead to increased crop productivity and income of farmers.

India region director at UPL SAS Ashish Dobhal said “We are very happy to join hands with AVPL, our engagement will lead to make Indian agriculture more sustainable and resilient by building capacities of aspiring rural agriculture entrepreneurs, who will further help farming communities to address their farming challenges.”

Director at AVPL Deep Sisai expressed his enthusiasm on the collaboration and said “It is a great opportunity for us for developing skills in field of agriculture under the mentorship of UPL SAS experts”. AVPL is starting this initiative from Haryana where it will train and develop 14000 rural entrepreneurs in next two years being the training partner with Haryana skill development mission. The same initiatives will be started in MP, Gujarat and Jharkhand in next few months.

Business head – retail & new business division at UPL SAS, Tushar Trivedi said, “In India, a majority of population is still dependent on agriculture, and it is huge dearth of trained manpower who can contribute to making agriculture more profitable.” He further said that the collaboration will help in developing skill in agriculture sector.
